New York Fashion Week: The Hair

Of course I’m watching the hair on the catwalk at NYFW, and I’ve fallen in love with two very contrasting styles. One is super-sleek, hair architecture, the other fantastic, carefree texture.
First up the hair for Jason Wu, created by Odile Gilbert. This smooth style had clean lines, and thanks to some heavy use of product looked fantastic finished with a metallic barrette clip. I think this style would work perfectly for A/W and think it could be personalised to suit most hair types and textures.

Next up was hippy-esque hair from the Rodarte catwalk. Waves, with braids and buns to create a very relaxed look that is super easy to recreate, follow the simple steps below to get your New York Fashion Week hair;

1.Prep hair with a sea salt spray to create beachy texture. I love using Schwarzkopf got2b beach matt texturizing spray.
2.Take two sections from either side of the hair, just behind the ear and plait loosely.
3.Once you’ve plaited each section join together at the back of your head and twist into a scruffy bun. Pin to hold.
4.If you have long hair, take a section underneath the bun and plait down in a 3 strand braid.
